The Rams are a half-game ahead of the Falcons because Grayson has played six league games while Dacula has played five. Defending region champion Archer is third in the region and still in the chase for the crown.
Archer third-year QB Gabe Tiller has led the Tigers to a 4-1 region mark after a 0-3 start.
Despite losing to Grayson, Central is currently fourth the region with Parkview fifth, just a game back of the Black Knights in the loss column for the fourth and final playoff spot from the region.
Brookwood and South are fighting for sixth while Shiloh and Berkmar are each still looking for their first region win of the season.
The Week 10 schedule includes the No.1 team in the region facing No. 2 with Grayson traveling to Dacula, and the Nos. 3 and 4 teams playing when Archer goes on the road against Central so much could be determined by Saturday-or the region could be even tighter.
Either way, this is going to be a great week of high school football across the county.
