Grayson running back Cameryn Brent has been selected as the Gwinnett Sports Report Offensive Player of the Week for Week 9 after leading the Rams to a improtant Region 8-AAAAAA victory over Central Gwinnett last Friday night. Brent carried the ball 30 times for 153 yards and a touchdown in Grayson's 28-0 shutout win against Central.

Brent's workhorse effort allowed the Rams to control the game clock on the way to their second shutout in the last three games, third overall for the season. While the Grayson defense was outstanding once again, the offense did their part by putting points on the board and running clock-including the final scoring drive in the fourth quarter that consumed more than six and a half minutes and secured the W.

Brent, a junior, racked up 1,128 rushing yards and nine TDs as a sophomore and is putting together another impressive season.

Brent and his Grayson teammates will face Dacula this Friday in a battle of undefeated teams with the region championship on the line. A Rams win would all but lock up the Region 8 crown, while a Falcons victory would give them the advantage headig to the final two weeks of the regular season.
