Gladiators open December tied for third in South Division of ECHL

The Atlanta Gladiators are tied for third in the five team South Division of the Eastern Conference after two months of the 2015-2016 ECHL season. The Gladiators are in a three-way tie for seventh place in the conference after posting a 10-7-1 (21 points) mark in their first 18 games heading to December.

TOP SCORERS

Derek Nesbitt leads Atlanta in scoring with 18 points (10G, 8A). With 13 points each, Brock Higgs (7G, 6A) and Thomas Frazee (3G, 10A) are the only other active skaters on the roster with double-digit point totals.

GOALIES

Atlanta has used three goalies this season with each receiving equal time. Andy Iles (3-2-0) and Kent Patterson (3-3-1) have each played in seven games while Matt Ginn (4-2-0) has been between the pipes in six contests.

Iles, with a 2.84 Goals Against Average and a Save % of .901, has posted the best numbers of the three. Patterson has a 3.41 GAA with a 0.895 SAV% while Ginn has a GAA of 3.69 and a SAV% of 0.879.

Atlanta will play five home games as part of a 13 game December schedule.

The Gladiators play home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Infinite Energy Center (formerly the Arena at Gwinnett Center) which is located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth. Parking is always free.
