All four of the county teams in the ranking lost games last week but so did most of the other teams in the Top 10. Only Walton (No. 1) and Pope (No. 2) didn’t take an L last week so the Bears, Eagles, Blue Devils, and Panthers retained their slots.
Mountain View (13-4) remains No. 3 after a week that included a 4-3 loss to Norcross (14-4) and a 6-3 win against Collins Hill (14-3). Parkview (12-6) continues to struggle for consistency and needs to string together some wins to stay in the ranking after a week that included a loss to Grayson in extra innings by a 7-6 count.
The Ram victory over the Panthers keeps Region 8 close with Parkview on top of Grayson by half a game and Brookwood a full game back.
