Spotlight Players of the Week: Week 4

Gwinnett County football fans were treated to another week of outstanding football in Week 4 of the GHSA season that included competitive games and outstanding individual efforts.

Of the highlight reel performances delivered this week, the players whose performances earned them selections as Spotlight Players of the Week represent Archer, Central Gwinnett, Grayson and North Gwinnett.

 The players are listed in alphabetical order by school attended.

Archer (3-0) RB Keegan Strickland tallied 167 yards from scrimmage (131 rushing and 36 receiving) in a 16-13 win over Mill Creek. The Tiger victory was the first in the short history (three games) of the series with the Hawks and snapped the Mill Creek 28-game regular season win streak.

Central Gwinnett (3-0) DB Eric Walker had 10 total tackles and an interception in a victory over Collins Hill in  Gme that went to OT. 

Grayson (3-0) QB David Irons passed for 126 yards and rushed for another 91 in a 22-9 come-from-behind win over the top ranked team in Louisiana.

North Gwinnett (3-1) RBTyler Goodson ranked up 241 yards on 22 carries and scored three times in a 35-14 win against Norcross. The Bulldog win ends a streak of four consecutive loses to the Blue Devils.
