The Brookwood Broncos (3-2) hosted the Berkmar Patriots (0-5) on Friday night and came away with a 63-6 victory that was the 300th for the Gwinnett County school. After the blowout victory, Brookwood celebrated win with several former head coaches including Dave Hunter and Mark Crews, who both brought state championship titles to the Gwinnett school.

The school started playing varsity football in 1982 and Hunter's team in 1996 won the GHSA Class AAAA title and Crews followed with a Class AAAAA championship in 2010. The Broncos are off this week before opening region play against Meadowcreek (5-0) the following week.

Brookwood is one of five county schools included in this week’s High School Football Daily AAAAAAA Top-10 ranking. The Broncos will likely be facing a 6-0 Mustang team when they square off because Meadowcreek plays winless Berkmar this Friday.
