moved the Tigers from No. 4 to No. 2 in the state’s top classification in the newly released Georgia High School Football Daily (GHSFD) AAAAAAA ranking.
The October 16 ranking still includes five Gwinnett County teams, including three of the top five, but the top spot now belongs to Lowndes County (8-0). Archer jumped to No. 2 while Grayson fell to No. 4. Spots 5-7 remained the same with North Gwinnett (6-1), Brookwood (5-2), and Mill Creek (6-2) all earning wins.
In addition to Lowndes County (No.1), Walton (7-0), Colquitt County (7-1), South Forsyth (7-0), and Tift County (7-1) appear in the GHSFD ranking with the Raiders at No. 3, the Packers at No. 6, South moving in to the Top 10 at No. 9, and Tift falling a notch to No. 10.
In addition to the AAAAAAA showing, Gwinnett County continues to be represented in AAAAA (Buford 5-1, No. 2) and AAA (GAC 7-1, No.3) near the top.
