Gwinnett County football includes outstanding efforts week in and week out, and the best of the best are highlighted in the GSR Impact Performers of the Week Shoutout. Central Gwinnett quarterback Jarren Williams and Mill Creek placekicker Brenton King turned in stellar games that were key to their team earning wins in Week 4 action.

Gwinnett County Football Review: Week 4

Week 4 of the Georgia High School Association 2016 football season saw 17 of 24 Gwinnett County teams taking the field, including nine that battled non-county teams and four games that paired county teams. Mill Creek, Norcross, and Wesleyan won to remain undefeated heading to Week 5.

Gwinnett County Football Review: Week 3

The first three weeks of the Georgia High School Association 2016 football season has included outstanding games, stellar individual efforts, and surprise starts-both good and bad-for a number of teams. Week 3 saw 19 of 24 Gwinnett County teams in action, 11 that squared off with non-county teams and four games that paired county teams.

Gwinnett County Football Review: Week 1

The Georgia High School Association 2016 football season opening weekend saw 20 Gwinnett County teams take the field for their season openers, 14 that squared off with non-county teams, and six that played intra-county, non-region games.

Mt View 2016 Baseball

The Mountain View Bears remain the top ranked Gwinnett team in the most recent SCORE Atlanta 6A baseball ranking.

The Week 6 SCORE Atlanta AAAAAA baseball ranking that was released earlier this week has four Gwinnett County teams in the top six of the state ranking. The teams, Mountain View (No. 3), Collins Hill (No. 4), Norcross (No. 5), and Parkview (No. 6), are a combined 53-17 on the season with the majority of the losses coming in head-to-head competition.

The Grayson Rams will have a new head football coach this season for the first time in 16 years because Mickey Conn is leaving for Clemson. Score Atlanta broke the news late last week that Conn will be joining the Tigers after accepting the Quality Control position.

Mt View 2016 Baseball

 Mountain View is No. 2 in the most recent SCORE Atlanta 6A ranking that was released on Monday.

 

After an impressive showing at the Perfect Game Showcase that saw Mountain View earn wins in three of four games, the Bears moved from No. 3 to No. 2 in the SCORE Atlanta weekly AAAAAA ranking that was released on Monday. Collins Hill (No. 4), Parkview (No. 6), and Norcross (No. 10) join Mountain View making Gwinnett County home to four teams in the 6A Top 10.
