In addition to the five Gwinnett County teams ranked in the 7A Top 10 in the Georgia High School Football Daily final regular season ranking, the county is represented by Buford at No. 2 in AAAAA, and Greater Atlanta Christian at No. 3 in AAA.

Three of the top five, and five of the top 10, football teams in the final regular season Georgia High School Football Daily (GHSFD) AAAAAAA ranking are Gwinnett teams after each closed their regular season schedule with wins. The victories all came in blowout style, and resulted in all five teams maintaining their previous week’s position going into the opening round of the GHSA playoffs.

The Georgia High School Football Daily (GHSFD) AAAAAAA Top 10 once again includes five Gwinnett County teams after Archer (No.2), Grayson (No.4), North Gwinnett (No.5), and Brookwood (No.7) all won their matchups, and Mill Creek (No.10) did not play.

The Georgia High School Football Daily (GHSFD) October 23 AAAAAAA Top 10 again includes five Gwinnett County teams after Archer (No.2), Grayson (No.4), North Gwinnett (No.5), and Brookwood (No.7) all won and maintained their position while Mill Creek (No.10) fell two notches after a tough loss to Mountain View, but remained in the ranking.

Georgia High School Football Daily (GHSFD) releases their weekly state football rankings on Monday, and their September 18 release includes five Gwinnett County teams, including the No. 1 team and three of the top five.
Grayson (3-0) sits atop the ranking with Archer (4-0) at No.3, Mill Creek (3-1) holding down the No. 5 slot, North Gwinnett (3-1) at No. 6 and Brookwood (2-2) entering the ranking at No.8.
The 2017 Georgia High School Association (GHSA) football season opens this week, and Gwinnett County teams will be a big part of Week 1 action with Greater Atlanta Christian (AAA), Buford (AAAAA), Mill Creek (AAAAAAA), and Norcross (AAAAAAA), playing in games chosen by Georgia High School Football Daily as Best of the Week.
With the 2017 GHSA football season upon us, preseason projections are flooding the airwaves and the internet. Several Preseason All-Region, All-State, and National team picks as well as team rankings have been released in the last couple of weeks.
One of the top sources in the state, Georgia High School Football Daily, recently released their Best Players by Position, and Gwinnett County is home to 13 players that made the list. The players represent 11 county schools.
The SCORE softball rankings for Week 7 include seven Gwinnett teams representing three classifications, including half of the state’s largest class, AAAAAAA. The top ranked team in AAAAA also calls Gwinnett home.
The Mountain View Bears remain the top ranked Gwinnett team in the most recent SCORE Atlanta 6A baseball ranking.
The Week 6 SCORE Atlanta AAAAAA baseball ranking that was released earlier this week has four Gwinnett County teams in the top six of the state ranking. The teams, Mountain View (No. 3), Collins Hill (No. 4), Norcross (No. 5), and Parkview (No. 6), are a combined 53-17 on the season with the majority of the losses coming in head-to-head competition.
Mountain View is No. 2 in the most recent SCORE Atlanta 6A ranking that was released on Monday.

Collins Hill (No. 4), Parkview (No. 6), and Norcross (No. 10) join Mountain View making Gwinnett County home to four teams in the 6A Top 10.
